There was no option to preserve the edits (unless the image was saved as a separate file beforehand, such as the Snapseed-edited images). A few photos were also edited using Snapseed, which has no Share Sheet integration and therefore saves a separate file of the edited photo back to Camera Roll.When I got home and connected my iPhone to my iMac, I noticed that iPhoto displayed the original image files for import. The only missing feature here is a Digital.On a recent trip I took dozens of pictures with my iPhone and edited most of them using Photos, either via the built-in editing features or using Camera+ via the Share Sheet capability. Snapseed is a cross platform editing and optimization tool that is available for Mac, PC and iOS, with a very similar user experience available on all devices.Finally, it also offers an Apple Photos plugin allowing you to do minor adjustments right inside the Photos app. My iPhone is running iOS 8.1.Photo editing software is not a software market that is exactly short of choice, but the market for low-cost, high-quality app is often found wanting.But it is not yet available for the iPhone.Next year, it will be better, when we have the matching Photos.app on the Mac. It integrates losslessly with Pixelmator and Yosemite on the mac. If that's the case, is there an option to display the edited version?You're welcome □ Better stick with Snapseed at least this way, my edits are preserved on import to iPhoto.For the time being, this is the way to go.On my iPad I can do all edits with Pixelmator.Unfortunately, there is not yet an app on the Mac, that can read these files and apply the edits to the originals.These files will be imported to your Mac nevertheless, if you are using iCloud Photo Library.
